Balázs Borbély, the technical director of Hungarian club Ferencváros, confirmed that Mohamed Salah, the star of Turkish side Trabzonspor, will play in a different position in the match between the two teams as part of the Europa League tournament.
Trabzonspor of Turkey will face their hosts, Hungary's Ferencváros, at 9:30 PM tomorrow, Thursday, at the Groupama Arena in Hungary, for the second leg of the final qualifying round of the Europa League tournament.
Conclusions Regarding Salah's Position
Borbély explained that his coaching staff analyzed Trabzonspor's recent matches in the Turkish league, noting that they are aware of Mohamed Salah's positional change in tomorrow's match.
Speaking during the press conference for tomorrow's match, Balázs Borbély said: "Due to the result of the first leg, Trabzonspor may leave spaces behind their defensive line, and we must play intelligently and make the best use of the opportunities available to us."
The Hungarian coach added: "Every match has its own story, and we have thoroughly analyzed our opponent, just as we did in their match against Istanbul Başakşehir. Based on what we observed, Salah will now be playing in a different position."
Penalty Shootout
He continued: "We must play in the same manner we displayed in the second half of our match in Turkey... We have made maximum preparations, we are in good condition, and we will enter the match with the same mindset and motivation."
Regarding his team's readiness for a penalty shootout, he said: "Certainly, we train for it during our preparations, but I would be happier if we do not reach that stage."
Defending the Lead
The Ferencváros technical director addressed the impact of winning the first leg by a single clean goal, stating: "I do not believe that focusing solely on protecting a one-goal lead represents a good tactic."
