Manchester City officially announced his signing from Chelsea's first football team during the summer transfer market, reuniting him with his preferred coach, Enzo Maresca (for details).

Manchester City aims to strengthen and develop its football squad amid the restructuring led by the team's new Italian coach, Enzo Maresca.

This summer, veteran Spanish manager Pep Guardiola departed Manchester City after ten years in charge. Additionally, players John Stones, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders, and Omar Marmoush, who joined Tottenham on loan, also left the club.

Enzo Fernández stated in remarks following his arrival at Manchester City via "City Extra": "I am extremely happy to be here; I have always dreamed of joining a great club like Manchester City."

He added: "I am grateful for this opportunity; it is a very emotional moment for me and my family, taking this step at twenty-five years old in a football career I have always dreamed of."

He continued: "I am very happy to be here and enjoying these first hours at the club. I can already see its greatness. We will enjoy our time together and achieve many victories."

He further stated: "Manchester City must win every title it competes for. In every tournament we enter, we must compete and win. The history of this club demands that from everyone."

Regarding his decision to join Manchester City, he said: "Honestly, from the first day they believed in me and called to express their desire for me to join, I did not hesitate for a single moment. It is a club that has achieved tremendous accomplishments in recent years and is making history in the world of football. For me, it represents a major challenge."

He continued: "Being able to come here, help the club, and continue achieving victories together has been my goal since they contacted me. Joining this club, I know we will win many titles together."

He elaborated: "Honestly, the squad Manchester City is building this year is amazing, and I am truly delighted they are moving in this direction."

He added: "I would like to thank them for this wonderful reception. I feel at home, which is crucial for confidence. I want to assure them that I will give my utmost effort every day, in every training session and every match, to help this club achieve all its goals throughout the season, win many titles together, and enjoy the journey."

Regarding Enzo Maresca, he said: "He is a top-class coach, frankly. I worked with him at Chelsea; we shared unforgettable moments, and I learned a great deal from him. He resembles Latin Americans greatly—he is very passionate, and it is a pleasure to work with him."

He continued: "I am also grateful to him because he played a vital role in my arrival here. I am happy to work with him and enjoy this experience."

He noted: "Manchester City, not only in Argentina but worldwide, is one of the biggest clubs globally. Everyone sees this, especially in Argentina, as many players have emerged from here."

Regarding wearing the number 17 shirt, he concluded: "This holds no special meaning for me personally. However, I have strong faith in God; I read the Bible. While I was reading it during the transfer process, I encountered a verse that deeply touched my heart, making me feel this was the right path."
