Tottenham Hotspur English club announced the extension of Micky van de Ven's contract, without the Spurs revealing the duration of the player's stay inside the London team.
Micky van de Ven's contract with Tottenham extends until 2028/2029, and the player is expected to continue for a longer period with the Spurs after extending his contract on Monday evening.
Tottenham extends Van de Ven's contract
Tottenham Hotspur Club revealed the extension of its defender Micky van de Ven's contract, during an official statement published on its website and its social media accounts.
Van de Ven participated with Tottenham in 96 matches in all competitions, and the player succeeded in scoring 10 goals.
Micky van de Ven appeared for the first time with the Dutch national team against France in October 2023, and was part of the Oranje squad participating in the 2024 European Championship and the 2026 World Cup finals, and he has 24 international matches in his record.
Van de Ven's statements
Micky van de Ven began his statements on the Tottenham website, saying: "It is a special moment to sign a new contract, and a moment of pride for me and my family."
He added: "I have always loved Tottenham since the first day my feet stepped on its land. I love the club, and I love the fans, and I have developed noticeably here."
He concluded: "The direction the club wants to follow is clear, and I want to be part of it, I am excited for what is coming."
