Reports: New proposal from three international federations to oust Infantino

Via Btolat

Media reports revealed today the existence of a new proposal from three international federations, namely the European Football Association "UEFA", the CONCACAF Federation, and the Asian Federation, to remove Gianni Infantino from his position as president of the International Football Association "FIFA".

UEFA announced in a joint statement alongside the CONCACAF Federation and the Asian Federation its complete rejection of Infantino continuing as FIFA president, explaining that confidence has been lost in the Swiss man (details from here).

English journalist "Ben Jacobs" confirmed that the three federations, led by UEFA, are demanding that Infantino resign and not run for a new presidential term at FIFA, with elections scheduled for March next year.

He added that the three federations are seriously considering organizing tournaments among themselves to ensure players' participation in international events until a joint solution is reached.

UEFA continues to support the option of boycotting FIFA tournaments, which was announced last week.

Jacobs explained that the European Club Association for Football, led by its president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, fully supports the joint statement issued today against FIFA.

The European Club Association has no voting rights in FIFA elections, but it is considered an influential factor in pressuring Infantino and changing the scene, as Nasser Al-Khelaifi is expected to meet with UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin this week in Salzburg, France.

Jacobs added that Čeferin is asking the European Club Association to withdraw its support for holding the FIFA Club World Cup, as the host country for the tournament, which will be held in 2029, has not yet been announced.
