According to what Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported, Paris Saint-Germain has reached a preliminary agreement on personal terms with Ferran Torres, while the player's representatives and the French club have informed Barcelona's management of their desire to complete the deal and submit an official offer in the coming period.
Reports indicate that Barcelona is now awaiting official action from Paris, especially since negotiations between the two clubs have not yet reached the stage of a final agreement on the deal's value.
The Catalan club's stance will be linked to the value of the financial offer that the French and European champions will present, given that Barcelona is not absolutely insistent on the player's continued presence.
Torres' contract with Barcelona runs until June 30, 2027, i.e., the end of next season, with a massive release clause in his contract valued at one billion euros.
Nevertheless, the player's contract nearing its end gives the negotiations an important economic dimension for Barcelona, as the club will have the option to benefit financially from his departure this summer rather than losing him for free.
