Saudi Al-Hilal Club received a strong blow in the file of rearranging the ranks of the team's foreigners during the current summer mercato, after the categorical rejection from the French striker Karim Benzema of any solutions that end his relationship with the club.
Benzema's condition and insistence on leaving for free
"Al-Riyadiya" newspaper reported that Karim Benzema rejected an Al-Hilal proposal to move to one of the clubs recently promoted to the Roshn League, conditioning the receipt of all his remaining dues for the last year of his contract, to leave freely with determining his next destination at his full will.
This crisis comes after a season that witnessed great fluctuations for the French striker with Al-Hilal; where he played 13 matches in various competitions, scored 9 goals during them (including two hat-tricks) and provided 5 decisive passes.
Nunez prepares to depart towards Portugal
In a related context, the Uruguayan Darwin Nunez is about to leave the walls of "Al-Zaeem", heading towards a new experience in the Portuguese league on loan for one season, amid fierce competition from clubs in the American league to win his services.
Darwin Nunez had previously been removed from Al-Hilal's local list in the second half of the past season, after playing 24 matches in the blue jersey, scoring 9 goals during them and making 5 others.
Pedro Neto.. an expected option to strengthen Al-Hilal's wings
The name of the Portuguese international winger Pedro Neto, English Chelsea player (26 years old), emerges as a second main option on the Al-Hilal administration's table to strengthen the right wing.
Neto's targeting comes after the distinguished levels he presented with the Blues, playing 52 matches in various competitions, scoring 10 goals during them and assisting the same, and he is considered a basic pillar with the Portugal national team in the 2026 World Cup.
