The specialized site "Transfermarkt" in market value and the transfer market revealed the list of the most spending clubs in the current summer mercato, which witnessed the dominance of English clubs at the top.
Chelsea English club topped the ranking, with a fantastic difference from its closest pursuers, exceeding the barrier of 408 million euros to seal 11 new deals.
The list witnessed a sweeping dominance by Premier League clubs with the presence of 7 clubs within the top ten; where Tottenham Hotspur came in second place with spending amounting to 267 million euros.
On the continental level, Real Madrid represented the most prominent financial power outside England by coming third with a total of 225 million euros, while Juventus represented Italy, and Bayern Munich represented Germany, with a surprising presence of Ipswich Town club.
