Media reports revealed today Arsenal's desire to exploit Galatasaray's interest in signing Gabriel Martinelli in order to bring in one of the Turkish club's stars during the current summer transfer window.
Martinelli is linked with a departure from Arsenal this summer, with reports indicating that Galatasaray is keen to sign the player who has lost his place in the Gunners' starting lineup.
The Telegraph reported that Galatasaray made an official offer to sign Martinelli for £38.4 million, in addition to the Turkish club's desire to acquire the services of the young English club player Ethan Nwaneri, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Olympique Marseille.
The report added that Arsenal wants to sign Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen, with the Martinelli and Nwaneri deal discussed during negotiations between the Turkish club and the Gunners' sporting director Andrea Berta.
The newspaper clarified that it is unclear whether Berta proposed signing Osimhen for Arsenal or whether the player himself was offered to the English club.

The Telegraph added that Arsenal has identified Osimhen as a transfer target, but the Nigerian international is considered a secondary option, with Atlético Madrid star Julián Álvarez being the Gunners' primary target for the striker position this summer.
Arsenal considers signing Álvarez difficult to achieve, especially since the player's price exceeds £100 million, while Osimhen has proven his value as a striker over the past years.
The newspaper continued, noting that Osimhen has also been linked with a move to Arsenal's rival Tottenham Hotspur, who are looking to strengthen their attacking line with new signings.
Arsenal has also identified Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa as a summer transfer target, but the Europa League champions are demanding £60 million to allow the player to leave for the Emirates Stadium.
The Telegraph concluded by pointing out that Arsenal wants to reduce Konsa's price, amid the player's openness to playing for the Gunners, but Aston Villa remains committed to the defender who recently returned to training after a rest following his participation with the England national team at the World Cup.
Konsa will not push for a departure from Aston Villa, making it difficult to complete the deal in Arsenal's favor.
