Brian Madjo, the young Aston Villa player, made history after becoming the youngest player to start a match in the European Super Cup final, at the age of 17 years and 212 days.

According to the Opta network specialized in statistics, Madjo became the youngest player in history to start a European Super Cup final match, after Aston Villa included him in the starting lineup against Paris Saint-Germain.

The 17-year-old player had previously been prevented from participating with Aston Villa, due to FIFA regulations related to the transfer of players under the age of 18 to clubs outside their countries.

Aston Villa appealed against the decision, before the club obtained the necessary approval, enabling Madjo to make his official debut in the team's jersey against Paris Saint-Germain in one of the most prominent matches of the season.

Aston Villa had reached an agreement last January with the French club Metz to sign the young striker for 12 million euros.

Internationally, Madjo had previously represented the Luxembourg national team in three matches, before recently changing his sporting nationality, becoming eligible to represent the England under-17 national team.
