English player Jude Bellingham returned to Real Madrid training today, Wednesday, after the end of the rest period he received following his participation with his national team in the World Cup.
Spanish newspaper AS said that Bellingham represents one of the most important files before Jose Mourinho, who aims to restore the best version of the player, especially after his brilliance with the England national team in the World Cup.
Bellingham presented distinguished levels during the World Cup, where he scored 7 goals and made one goal during 8 matches, after participating more in the number 10 playmaker position.
Mourinho believes that this position is the most suitable for Bellingham's abilities, while benefiting from his defensive strength and his ability to reach the penalty area, in an attempt to return him to the level he showed during his first season with Real Madrid, when he scored 23 goals and made 13 decisive passes.
"AS" pointed out that Bellingham's brilliance in the playmaker position may put Mourinho in a dilemma due to the remarkable level presented by the Turkish player Arda Guler during the preparation period, especially since the young player occupies the same position.
Mourinho relies on performance on the field to determine his lineup, away from names or status, which makes the competition between Bellingham and Guler for the playmaker position one of the most prominent files awaiting the Portuguese coach in the coming period.
