Inter Miami's new player Casemiro expressed his happiness at playing alongside Lionel Messi in the team.

The Brazilian international joined Inter Miami's ranks in a free transfer deal after the end of his contract with English Manchester United.
Casemiro said during a press conference broadcast by the "ESPN" network: "Everyone knows that I had many options after leaving Manchester United".
He added "Many teams wanted to sign me, but of course I wanted to play with the best".
He continued "I wanted to enjoy playing alongside Messi and helping him win".
He concluded "He is one of the legends of football, if not its first legend. I want to enjoy his company and continue winning with him".

Lionel Messi returned to Inter Miami training after the end of his journey with the Argentine national team in the World Cup.
Casemiro signed a contract until the end of 2027 with the possibility of renewal until June 2029.
Inter Miami occupies second place with 37 points and two points behind the leader Nashville.
Inter Miami is preparing to face Columbus Crew on August 2 next.
