Attention is turning to the final of the 2026 Arabian Gulf Cup "Khaleeji 27," which will see Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates face off in Jeddah, as both teams seek to add a new title to their trophy cabinets.
The Saudi national team reached the final after defeating Qatar on penalties, following a goalless draw in regular and extra time, while the UAE secured its spot by beating Oman 1-0.
Both teams will play the final, scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday), aiming to claim either Saudi Arabia's fourth title or the UAE's third.

Kuwait tops the list of most successful teams in the Gulf Cup, having won the title 10 times, in the editions of 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1996, 1998, and 2010.
Iraq ranks second with four titles, having won the tournament in 1979, 1984, 1988, and 2023.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar are tied for third place with three titles each; Saudi Arabia won in 1994, 2002, and 2003, while Qatar triumphed in 1992, 2004, and 2014.
The UAE has two Gulf Cup titles, won in 2007 and 2013.
The UAE is level with Oman and Bahrain in terms of titles; Oman won twice in 2009 and 2018, while Bahrain claimed its two titles in 2019 and 2024.
