Basketball - The second in a row.. The youth girls' team loses to Canada in the World Championship

The Egyptian junior women's basketball team lost its second match in the World Cup under 17 years old, held in the Czech Republic.

Canada's team defeated Egypt 76-56 in the second round of the World Cup tournament.

The Czech Republic is hosting the tournament from July 11 to 19.

The Egyptian team had lost its opening match against New Zealand yesterday, Saturday.

The junior women's basketball team tops Group 4, alongside Italy, Canada, and New Zealand, with all four teams advancing to the round of 16.

The roster includes: Maryam Hazem, Judy Walid, Hania Nasser, Judy Mohamed, Fatima Mohamed Hassan, Layla Hossam, Hala Moataz, Sidra Haitham, Zeina Ayman Halim, Dana Sherif Geneidi, Habiba Karim Sherour, Habiba Jamal.

The technical staff includes: Mohamed Mahrous as technical director, Nihal Saad as general coach, Magdy Salama as coach, Ahmed Gwaily as specialist, Farid Samir as load coach, Dr. Fatima Jamal as physician, Mona Mohamed as team administrator.

The Egyptian junior women's basketball team qualified for the World Cup under 17 after winning the African title under 16 last year against Ivory Coast.
