Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's technical director, refused to comment on news of negotiations with Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid player, and Julian Alvarez, Atletico Madrid striker.
Arsenal has been linked with signing the duo during the current summer transfer window.
Arteta said during the press conference: "We expect movements to happen in the coming few weeks, of course, because we want to improve like any other team, and you can simply look at the transfer market and our competitors".
He added: "What we are doing is that we will not stand idly by, and we have great ambition in what we want to do."
When asked about signing Vinicius Junior and Julian Alvarez, he said: "I will not talk about any player who does not belong to my team".
Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior's negotiations regarding the renewal of his contract have stopped for several months, which has raised speculations about his future in the new season.
Despite Vinicius being open to renewing his contract with Real Madrid, things will not be easy for the officials of the Royal Club, as the player has become in a position of strength, especially after his amazing performance in the World Cup with the Brazilian national team.
Some press reports had mentioned earlier that Vinicius Junior requested to get the same contract as his teammate Kylian Mbappe.
The Brazilian player also has interest from the Saudi League, as there were some discussions last season about the possibility of concluding a big deal.
