Al Ahly Club announced that a player from the first football team of the Red Fortress underwent a surgical procedure in the past few hours.
Al Ahly clarified that Moroccan player Youssef Belamri, who plays for the first football team, underwent a successful surgery in Germany after suffering a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee.

Ahmed Gaballah, head of Al Ahly's medical staff, stated that Belamri underwent arthroscopic surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament of his right leg, under the supervision of German expert Christian Prall, at a hospital in Munich.
Alaa Mamoun, deputy head of the club's medical staff, accompanied the player during his trip to Germany for the surgery and to monitor his condition.
Belamri is expected to be discharged from the hospital within the next 48 hours, before returning to Morocco to begin the first phase of his rehabilitation program.
Belamri sustained the ligament injury during Al Ahly's preparation period for the new season in Spain.
