Turkish media reports have revealed that Moroccan international Yassine Bounou, goalkeeper of Saudi Al-Hilal, has entered the circle of interest of Fenerbahçe club during the current summer transfer window, in a move that reflects the great stature the Moroccan goalkeeper has come to enjoy after his remarkable brilliance with his club and national team in recent years.

The Turkish newspaper "Fanatik" stated

that Fenerbahçe's management is seriously considering signing Bounou, in anticipation of the possible departure of Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson during the current transfer market, after his name was linked to the possibility of trying a new experience amid interest from several European clubs, led by Italian Juventus, in securing his services.

The report clarified that Fenerbahçe officials have already begun preparing a shortlist of several goalkeepers as candidates to replace Ederson, topped by Yassine Bounou, who has caught attention with the distinguished performances he delivered with Saudi Al-Hilal, alongside his brilliance wearing the Moroccan national team jersey, especially in the 2026 World Cup finals, where he was one of the tournament's standout stars.

The newspaper added that speculation about the possibility of Bounou moving to Fenerbahçe has increased in recent hours, after the Moroccan goalkeeper followed the Turkish club's official account on social media platforms, which prompted many observers to link this step to the existence of contacts between the two parties, although it does not constitute official evidence of negotiations or an agreement between the two clubs.

Yassine Bounou is under contract with Saudi Al-Hilal until the summer of 2027, which gives the Saudi club's management the upper hand in determining the player's future, as any club wishing to sign him will be required to negotiate with Al-Hilal, which has not issued any official stance yet regarding the possibility of parting ways with its Moroccan goalkeeper.

Bounou continues to attract the interest of many clubs thanks to his vast experience and consistent performances over recent years, whether with the Moroccan national team, during his previous stint with Spanish Sevilla, or since his move to Saudi Al-Hilal, remaining one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in the transfer market.
