English club Manchester City announced today, Wednesday, the completion of its signing of Moroccan midfielder Ayoub Bouaddi from French club Lille during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Manchester City clarified through its official website that Bouaddi, 18 years old, signed a five-year contract, keeping him with the team until the summer of 2031, following the completion of his transfer from Lille, pending the receipt of international clearance.
Bouaddi is considered one of the most prominent rising talents in European football, having made 96 appearances for Lille and participated in 8 international matches for the Moroccan national team.
The player began his career with Lille's first team in the European Conference League just three days after turning 16, before establishing himself in the French club's starting lineup over the following two seasons.
Bouaddi represented France at the youth and under-21 levels before deciding to represent the Moroccan national team, with whom he participated in the recent World Cup and delivered standout performances.
