Radio Monte Carlo reported that Manchester City has reached a final agreement with Lille to sign Moroccan player Ayoub Bouaddi.

City reached an agreement with the player on his personal contract terms some time ago, but had not succeeded in convincing Lille to let him go until now.

The report clarified that a full agreement has been reached between Lille and Manchester City regarding the transfer of Ayoub Bouaddi.

According to the report, the deal is worth 100 million euros, including add-ons.

If the deal is completed, it will be the most expensive sale in the history of Lille.

Bouaddi will not play for Lille against Angers on Sunday, as he is preparing to move to the Sky Blues.

The 18-year-old Bouaddi stole the spotlight during the 2026 World Cup, playing a prominent role in Morocco's qualification for the quarter-finals and starting five matches.

Bouaddi is under contract with Lille until the summer of 2029, having renewed his deal last December, which gives the French club a significant advantage in negotiations, with no pressure to sell.

The player entered Lille's history in 2023 when he became the youngest player to feature in an official match for the first team at the age of 16. He later broke the record previously held by Eden Hazard as the youngest player to reach 50 appearances in the French league for the club.

The Moroccan international, who previously represented France's youth teams, has made 96 appearances for Lille in all competitions, providing four assists. He received nine yellow cards and two red cards during the 2025-2026 season.
