Hamad Al-Yami, the right-back of Saudi club Al-Hilal, is nearing a return to group training after completing the third phase, which involves running and physical conditioning.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadhia," Al-Yami, 27 years old, has become close to participating in group training to support coach Simone Inzaghi, given the commitments facing the "Asian leader" locally and continentally.
Al-Yami suffered an injury during the match against Al-Taawoun on February 24 last year, as part of the postponed tenth round of the Saudi Roshn League competitions from the previous season.
According to Al-Yami's statistics from the previous season, he participated in 27 matches across all competitions, providing two assists, based on data from the global website "Transfermarkt."
Al-Hilal is scheduled to return to competitive matches on October 10 (next Saturday), facing Al-Ittihad at the "Kingdom Arena" in the marquee clash of the eighth round, within the standings of the Saudi League competition.
Al-Hilal tops the Saudi League table with 18 points, having achieved six victories, alongside one loss against NEOM by a score of 2-0.
In contrast, Al-Ittihad comes second with 17 points, through five wins and two draws, without suffering any defeat.
