Officially... Al-Ahly announces the extension of El-Shenawy's contract until 2028

Al-Ahly Club announced the extension of Mohamed El-Shenawy's contract, the goalkeeper of the Red Devils, until the 2027–2028 season.

Al-Ahly extends Mohamed El-Shenawy's contract

In an official statement, Al-Ahly Club said: "Mohamed El-Shenawy, captain of both Al-Ahly and the Egyptian national team, extended his contract with the club until the 2027–2028 season this evening, during a meeting held with Dr. Essam Sirag El-Din, Head of the Contracts Sector, and Captain Wael Gomaa, Football Director."

It added: "El-Shenawy expressed his great pride in the appreciation shown by the club and its management, and his deep gratitude for the support of Al-Ahly's loyal fans, whom he described as the backbone and pillar of the club and its players. He stated that he and his teammates are fortunate to have such fans who always push them to double their efforts and achieve more victories and titles."

Al-Ahly defeats Libyan side Al-Ittihad Misrata

In another context, Al-Ahly secured victory over their Libyan counterpart Al-Ittihad Misrata in a friendly match that brought both teams together, as part of their preparations for upcoming competitions following the international break.

The technical staff of Al-Ahly Club had decided to promote seven players to train with the first team during the international break, given that several players were regularly participating with their respective national teams.

Al-Ahly proceeded to promote the following players: Zidan Naji, Mohamed El-Sayed, Yassin Mohamed, Mehab Wael, Omar Abu Ghazala, Abdelrahman Rami "Mano", and Ahmed El-Sheikh.
