The Moroccan club Nahdat Berkane announced the departure of its Tunisian coach Moein Chaabani from the position of technical director of the team, in preparation for assuming the technical leadership of the Tunisia national team.
Tunisian radio station Mosaïque had revealed yesterday, Thursday, that the Tunisian Football Federation had settled on appointing Moein Chaabani as coach of the Eagles of Carthage in the coming period.
The official page of Nahdat Berkane club posted on "Facebook": "Nahdat Berkane club announces to its loyal fans and the sports public that the team's coach, Moein Chaabani, has received an official request from the Tunisian Football Federation to assume the task of supervising the technical staff of the Tunisian national team".
It added: "Moein Chaabani is linked to a contract with Nahdat Berkane club that extends until June 30, 2027, and he had previously been contacted on two previous occasions to take charge of the Tunisian national team, before contacts were renewed for the third time".
It continued: "Given the special value that the task of leading the national team represents, and the national connotations and implications carried by the call of the homeland and serving the country's national team, Nahdat Berkane club has expressed its understanding of this request, in appreciation of this mission, and within the framework of the fraternal, respectful, and sports cooperative relations that unite the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Tunisia, as well as the distinguished ties between the football institutions in the two countries".
It went on: "During the two and a half years he spent at the helm of the team's technical leadership, Mr. Moein Chaabani demonstrated great professionalism, constant commitment, and deep respect for the club, its management, players, and fans, and through his work and efforts contributed to achieving notable milestones and writing a distinguished page in the history of Nahdat Berkane".
It concluded: "On this occasion, the club extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to him for all he has provided during this period, wishing him every success in his future career".
It added: "The management of Nahdat Berkane club also reassures its loyal fans that the club continues its work with all seriousness and responsibility to prepare and manage the next phase to ensure the continuity of the team's sporting path".
