A source at Zamalek Club revealed a crisis due to the tight schedule of the team's matches against AS Kigali and Petroleum Asyut, within the framework of the CAF Champions League and the Egyptian Premier League.
The source told Yallakora in exclusive comments that the Zamalek delegation will return from Rwanda on October 18, while the team is scheduled to face Petroleum Asyut on October 20 as part of the league competition.
The source clarified that the club will contact the Egyptian Professional Football Clubs Association to explore the possibility of postponing the Petroleum Asyut match by one day, so it takes place on October 21 instead of October 20.
He noted that Zamalek will also discuss with the association the possibility of moving the match from Borg El Arab Stadium to one of the stadiums in Cairo, to reduce the travel burden on the team given its African commitments.
In another context, the first football team at Zamalek Club continued its preparations for the upcoming match against Zed, within the framework of the Egypt Capital Cup tournament, where the team held its training session on Thursday evening at the sub-stadium of the Air Defense Stadium.
The training session saw Mohamed El-Sayed participate in an individual rehabilitation program, due to the injury he suffers in his metatarsal bone, as the player continues his training under the supervision of the medical staff, preparing for a return to group training in the coming period.
The technical staff began the training session with various physical exercises supervised by Portuguese fitness coach Nuno Costa Ribeiro, which included running around the pitch and performing several ball-based drills.
Zamalek continues its preparations for the match against Zed scheduled for October 7, at Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab Stadium, marking the start of the team's journey in the group stage of the Egypt Capital Cup tournament.
Zamalek will play six matches across different tournaments during October, comprising three matches in the Egyptian Premier League, two matches in the CAF Champions League, and one match in the Egypt Capital Cup.
