Al Ahly continues its preparations during the international break through a training program aimed at maintaining player fitness and preparing the team for upcoming commitments.
The team's head coach, Hussein Ammouta, held a lecture with the players on the pitch before the start of the training session, where he explained certain technical and tactical instructions in preparation for the next phase.
The trio Ahmed Nabil Koka, Yasser Ibrahim, and Karim El-Debes continue to follow their rehabilitation programs ahead of returning to group training.
The training session began with a light physical segment, after which the players moved on to executing various technical and tactical drills during the ball-work portion.
Mohamed El-Shenawy, Hamza Alaa, Yassin Abdel-Hamid, and Mohamed El-Sayed took part in individual training under the supervision of the goalkeeping coach before joining the ball-based exercises.
The coaching staff had previously announced that the team would play two friendly matches during the current international break, starting with a match against Libyan side Ittihad Al-Musrati last Monday, followed by a second friendly against Misr Lel Makkasa on October 2.
Al Ahly will play a friendly match against Misr Lel Makkasa tomorrow, Friday, as part of the coaching staff's plan to utilize the international break. The team had previously won against Libyan side Ittihad Al-Musrati 4-2 in their first friendly test during the break.
Al Ahly will resume official matches after the end of the international break by facing Bترول Assiut (Petroleum Assiut) on October 7, within the framework of the Egypt Capital Cup competition.
Al Ahly will begin its journey in the 2026-27 Egypt Capital Cup by facing Petroleum Assiut in the group stage.
After the match against Petroleum Assiut, Al Ahly will start preparing for the Cairo Derby against Zamalek in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League on October 11.
Al Ahly is placed in Group Three, which includes Eastern Company ENPPI, El-Gouna, Petroleum Assiut, and El-Mokawloon El-Arab.
