The first team players of Al Ahly continued their group training session this evening, Wednesday, as part of preparations for the upcoming phase, which includes a match against Zamalek in the Premier League.
Al Ahly players held a training session this evening, Wednesday, at Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium, located at the Red Devils' main headquarters, in preparation for the match against Petroleum Assiut on October 7 next, in the Egypt Capital Cup tournament, followed by the match against Zamalek on October 11, as part of the league fixtures.
The players began the training with various physical exercises inside the gym hall, lasting for 30 minutes, before moving on to ball-based physical drills, then carrying out several technical segments.
The technical staff, led by Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta, guided the players through diverse technical drills, focusing on executing specific instructions, before concluding the session with a scrimmage involving all players.
Al Ahly had played a friendly match against Libyan side Al-Ittihad Misrati, winning four goals to two, two days ago, ahead of facing Masr Al-Maqassa on October 2 next in a second friendly match.
It is worth noting that Al Ahly has played five official matches this season, all in the Premier League, where they defeated Eastern Company, ENPPI, ZED, Smouha, and Abu Qir Fertilizers, while drawing goallessly against El-Mokawloon El-Arab.
Al Ahly currently occupies third place in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 13 points, tied with Zamalek who are in second place, while Pyramids FC leads the table with 15 points.
