Mohamed Salah achieved a new record in creating chances for his teammates after playing the first 4 matches of the tournament.
Salah participated in 3 group stage matches against New Zealand, Belgium, and Iran, and also played in the round of 32 against Australia.
After the end of the round of 32, Mohamed Salah topped the list of most chance creators in the current edition of the World Cup.
Salah succeeded in creating 16 chances for his teammates, equaling Leandro Trossard of Belgium as the top chance creators in the tournament so far.
Behind them is Achraf Hakimi, the Moroccan star, who created 14 chances.
The Egyptian national team qualified for the round of 16 after defeating Australia on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in regular time.
Egypt will play against Argentina in the round of 16 next Tuesday, July 7.
