Mustafa Shobeir, the goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team, expressed his great happiness with what the Pharaohs are presenting in the 2026 World Cup.

The Egyptian national team is preparing to face Australia on Friday evening in the round of 32 of the World Cup.
Mustafa Shobeir said on beIN Sports: "It is exceptional for any Egyptian player to be part of the national team. I love the pressure and adore the World Cup atmosphere."
He added, "When I was young, it was frustrating because some compared me to my father, and others said I played because of him even though they hadn't seen me. But that made me stronger."
He continued, "I always treat my father as a dad, not as a former goalkeeper, but he never hesitates to give me advice. He always tells me: I will watch you, and if I see something that needs correction, I will tell you. These tips made a big difference for me and paid off."
He went on, "I don't like using my phone on match days, and all my father sends me is a short message saying: Enjoy. When I see him and my family happy with what I offer, I get goosebumps."
He concluded his statements, "After achieving Egypt's first win in the World Cup, the reactions in Egypt were crazy and unbelievable. I hope to always be a source of pride for my family, and I say to them: Thank you."
The Egyptian national team will meet Australia at nine o'clock on Friday evening, in the round of 32 of the World Cup.
The Egyptian national team qualified as the runner-up of Group G with 7 points, behind Belgium on goal difference, while the Australian team ranked second in Group D with 4 points, ahead of Paraguay, third in the group, on goal difference.
