US President Donald Trump sent a message to the International Federation of Football "FIFA" after canceling the suspension penalty for Folarin Balogun.

FIFA had decided to suspend the implementation of the decision to suspend Balogun for a year on a trial basis.
Balogun was sent off during the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he was supposed to be suspended for at least one match before FIFA canceled the decision.
Trump wrote on his account on the Truth site: "Thank you FIFA for doing the right thing, and correcting a great injustice".
According to Ben Jacobs, the journalist on the Give me sport website, the White House made a direct call with FIFA to ask Infantino to review the red card.
A source from FIFA told Jacobs that any influence from the White House cannot affect the decision, due to the powers granted by Article 27 as well as the independence of the disciplinary committee that issued the decision.
The US national team is preparing to face Belgium tomorrow, Monday, in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
