Luis Diaz, the Colombian star, believes that his national team could have scored more goals against Ghana.

The Colombian team settled for a 1-0 victory over Ghana in the round of 32 of the World Cup.

Luis Diaz said via beIN Sports: "We could have scored more goals, and that's what we were looking for, but the most important thing is qualifying. I believe the Best Player award belongs to the entire team."

He added, "We have to continue working calmly and humbly, and I think we are improving match by match."

He concluded his statements, "I think the atmosphere and celebrations are great in Colombia now. I am happy with the great support from the fans, and I believe the country is experiencing an exceptional moment after this victory."

John Arias scored the only goal of the match for Colombia in the 14th minute.

Luis Diaz received the Man of the Match award for Colombia against Ghana.

The Colombian team secured a spot in the round of 16 to face Switzerland in the quarter-finals.

Ghana became the eighth African team to exit the World Cup after Tunisia, South Africa, Senegal, Algeria, Congo, Cape Verde, and Ivory Coast.
