The Mexican national team is preparing to face England in the round of 16 of the World Cup competitions.
Jiménez said via Sky Sports about his goals against Jordan Pickford, England's goalkeeper: "I want to continue increasing my goals against Jordan Pickford, England's goalkeeper. It will be my first match against them. I will work hard, make things difficult for the defense, and do everything necessary to win the match. We need every goal we can score".
He continued, "We are playing in the biggest tournament and we want to give our best. If everyone can deliver the best match of their lives, that would be wonderful, and we will work to go far in the World Cup".
The Mexican national team qualified for the round of 16 after overcoming the Ecuador national team with two goals to nil, one of which was scored by Jiménez, while the England national team qualified after overcoming the Democratic Republic of the Congo with two goals to one.
