The Referees Committee of the International Football Association "FIFA" announced the referee crew for the Spain and Argentina match in the 2026 World Cup final.
The Spanish and Argentine national teams meet in the tenth World Cup final on Sunday evening, in New York.
FIFA assigned the match to a Slovenian referee crew led by Slavko Vinčić, and there are also two Arab referees on the list.
The final referee crew came as follows:
Field referee: Slovenian Slavko Vinčić
First assistant: Slovenian Tomaž Klančnik
Second assistant: Slovenian Andraž Kovačič
Fourth referee: Jordanian Adham Makhadmeh
Assistant reserve referee: Mohammed Al-Khalaf
FIFA's official account published clips during the announcement of the final referee, as Vinčić cried with joy at being chosen to officiate the match.

This is the sixth match in the history of the 46-year-old referee in the World Cup.
Vinčić witnessed Saudi Arabia's 2-1 victory over Argentina in the 2022 World Cup.
He also officiated in the same World Cup the match between England and Wales, which ended with a clean 3-0 victory for the Three Lions, limiting him to two matches in the group stage.
In the current World Cup, he officiated two matches in the group stage, Brazil against Morocco 1-1, and Algeria's 2-1 victory over Jordan.
He was also assigned to officiate the match between Mexico and Ecuador in the round of 32, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the hosts.
In last season's UEFA Champions League, the Slovenian referee officiated the return leg between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.
He received criticism after sending off Real Madrid player Eduardo Camavinga.
The clip showed the referee issuing the second yellow card to the royal player Eduardo Camavinga for time-wasting, before Bayern Munich players reminded him that he had received a first yellow card, leading him to issue the red card.
