Argentine player Rodrigo De Paul believes that his country's national team achieved a deserved victory over Egypt in the World Cup.
The Argentine national team turned a two-goal deficit into a 3-2 victory, securing their qualification to the quarter-finals.
Rodrigo De Paul said on "Cadena Ser" radio: "We Argentines are very passionate, and we knew that our match against Egypt would be difficult. We fought until the end, as we always do".
He added, "Our focus now is on regaining our energy and thinking about the quarter-finals. We have to take the tournament step by step".
He concluded his remarks: "The World Cup is an extremely difficult tournament, and the team that can withstand the greatest pressure is the one that wins in the end".
The Egyptian national team took the lead through Yasser Ibrahim in the 15th minute, and Lionel Messi missed a penalty in the 21st minute, allowing the Pharaohs to end the first half with a goal to nil.
Mustafa Zico scored a goal in the 58th minute before it was canceled by the match referee after video technology review due to a foul on Marwan Attia.
Zico succeeded in scoring the second goal after it was counted this time in the 67th minute from a pass by Haitham Hassan.
The Argentine national team snatched the match in the final minutes after Christian Romero, Lionel Messi, and Enzo Fernandez scored respectively in the 79th, 83rd, and 92nd minutes.
