In an official statement, Al-Ahly revealed that Shobeir's contract has been renewed until the 2029 season, adding only two new seasons to his current one with the club.

This occurred during a meeting between Shobeir and Essam Sirag, head of the contracts department, who completed all administrative and financial procedures according to the club's regulations.

Shobeir's previous contract with Al-Ahly was set to expire at the end of the current season in June 2027, meaning he would have been eligible to sign with any club starting next January.
