Mustafa Abu Zahra, a member of the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed that the Pharaohs exited the World Cup with their heads held high, pointing out that the national team achieved most of its expected goals in the World Cup.
Mustafa Abu Zahra said in statements via On Sport channel: "We left Egypt with great ambitions and hopes, we wanted to score many goals, through different players, in addition to achieving our first victory in the World Cup history."
He added: "The best thing in this trip is returning to the land of Egypt, we have returned with many good and bad memories."
He continued: "Our heads are held high, as they have always been, we are the oldest people on earth, the fans came to tell us thank you, don't be sad."
He completed: "We thank the Egyptian state and at its head His Excellency the President, and we were dreaming of being honored by him, we are proud of our country, and may God make us represent Egypt in the best image, and we continue until 2030 and our project will be completed."
