The Celtic website praised new signing Haitham Hassan's debut appearance during the 2-1 victory over Falkirk in the Scottish football league.
Although he played some minutes in previous matches, he was absent from the crushing 5-1 defeat against Austrian side LASK in the Champions League playoff.

Haitham Hassan delivered an excellent performance on the field after starting the match, before Celtic manager Martin O'Neill decided to substitute the Egyptian professional off in the 63rd minute.
The official Scottish Celtic website stated regarding Haitham Hassan: "He left the field in the second half to be replaced by James Forrest."
It added: "Haitham Hassan received a wonderful reception from Celtic fans following his outstanding performance in his first start with the club today."
Celtic currently tops the Scottish league standings with 9 points from three victories, holding a three-point lead over Hearts.
