The Supreme Council for Media Regulation announced the invitation of officials from Al Ahly and Zamalek channels, along with Zamalek Radio, to a meeting before the launch of the new football season 2026-2027.
The Supreme Council for Media published on its page via the social networking site "Facebook": "In a step aimed at regulating the sports media scene before the launch of the new football season, the Committee for Regulating the Performance of Sports Media at the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Counselor Abdel Salam Al-Najjar, member of the Council and Vice President of the State Council, will hold an important meeting next Tuesday with officials from Al Ahly and Zamalek channels, along with officials from Zamalek Radio".

The meeting aims to establish clear frameworks for (club channels) to provide sports content consistent with the values of fair competition, and to reject fanaticism and mutual attacks between the two poles of Egyptian football, while emphasizing full commitment to professional controls and ethical codes regulating media work, in a way that ensures the delivery of a responsible message that maintains the stability of the sports arena and reduces unjustified excitement.
Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, is scheduled to attend part of the meeting, which will focus directly on the work mechanisms within the two channels and the radio platform, to enhance public awareness and reduce the intensity of tension between the fans of the two clubs.
This session comes as the beginning of a series of meetings that the Council intends to organize during the coming period and before the start of the new sports season, with the participation of an elite of media professionals, journalists, and sports content creators; with the aim of developing the sports media discourse, and enhancing its role in spreading awareness of the dangers of fanaticism, and consolidating positive sports values within the sports community.
