The Egyptian Football Association announces that all necessary clarifications and legal responses required by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) concerning the statements and incidents involving Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egyptian national team; Ibrahim Hassan, team manager; and player Mostafa Ziko during the Egypt vs. Argentina match have been submitted, one day before the deadline for response.
The legal response included a comprehensive explanation of the circumstances surrounding the incidents that occurred during the Egypt vs. Argentina match in the World Cup tournament, supported by necessary documents and legal evidence. It emphasized the Egyptian Football Association's respect for FIFA's regulations and procedures, its commitment to defending the rights of the technical staff and players through official channels, while reserving all its rights before the competent authorities within FIFA.

The Egypt vs. Argentina match in the Round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup witnessed objections from the Egyptian national team regarding refereeing decisions during the game.
Following the Argentina match, Ziko stated that the referee was unfair, wasted the national team's efforts, and that the tournament was rigged.
