Inter Milan decides its stance on selling Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona

Via Btolat

Inter Milan has reiterated its stance regarding reports linking Argentine striker Julián Álvarez with a move to Barcelona this summer.

Barcelona had recently focused its efforts on signing Julián Álvarez; however, it faces difficulties in negotiations with Atlético Madrid, which refuses to let the Argentine join their La Liga rival.

Reports indicated that Barcelona identified Lautaro Martínez, Inter Milan and Argentina's striker, as an alternative to Atlético Madrid's forward Julián Álvarez, and has contacted both his representatives and the Italian club.

Giuseppe Marotta, CEO of Inter Milan, commented on the possibility of selling Lautaro to Barcelona in statements published by "Fabrizio Romano": "Lautaro is our captain and part of our history."

He added: "The conditions allowing the sale of Lautaro Martínez do not even exist; there should not even be talk of Lautaro leaving this summer."

Inter Milan is currently facing Monza in the first round of the Italian Serie A at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, where the Nerazzurri aim to secure their first three points to defend last season's title.
