The Egyptian Football Association announced in an official statement that it has submitted all legal responses and clarifications regarding the disciplinary procedures taken by FIFA's Disciplinary Committee concerning statements made by the twins and player Mostafa Ziko, in connection with incidents during the Egypt vs. Argentina match at the 2026 World Cup.
The Association confirmed in its statement that all these responses, which include a full explanation of the circumstances and context surrounding the events, were submitted one day before the deadline.
The Association stated in its official Facebook post: "The Egyptian Football Association announces that it has completed submission of all required clarifications and legal responses to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) regarding the statements and incidents accompanying the Egypt vs. Argentina World Cup match involving the twins and player Mostafa Ziko, one day before the response deadline expired."
It added: "The legal response included a comprehensive explanation of the circumstances and context surrounding the incidents that occurred during the Egypt vs. Argentina match in the World Cup tournament, supported by necessary documents and legal evidence."
The Association concluded its statement: "This comes with reaffirmation of the Egyptian Football Association's respect for FIFA's regulations and procedures, and its commitment to defending the rights of the technical staff and players through official channels, while reserving all its rights before the competent authorities within the international federation."
