Egyptian international Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet," a player for Al-Riyadh, expressed his happiness at being in the Saudi League, describing it as one of the best leagues in the world.
Mahmoud Trezeguet scored his first goal for Al-Riyadh during their 3-3 draw with Al-Shabab in the third round of the Saudi League.
Trezeguet said in statements to Channel 8: "I have received a warm welcome since my arrival at Al-Riyadh; I do not feel alienated, and Saudi Arabia is my second home."
He added: "The Saudi League is among the best leagues in the world, not just in the Middle East."
He continued: "I have played in many leagues, and I should have come to this Saudi League; I am very happy with this step."
The Egyptian winger also commented on the draw with Al-Shabab, saying: "Praise be to God for the result; all the players gave more than 100% of their performance, especially after the red card. The match was extremely difficult, and we could have won before Keita's red card."
He added: "Praise be to God, I scored my first goal for Al-Riyadh, and what lies ahead will be even better."
He clarified: "We have a good coach, and the management has provided everything, but we faced some difficult circumstances in previous matches, such as red cards. However, we will do our utmost to restore Al-Riyadh to its rightful standing."
Al-Riyadh has not secured any victory after three rounds in the Saudi League, having suffered two defeats and achieved only one draw.
