Sports: Al-Nassr faces a financial crisis before the start of the new season

Via FilGoal

The management of Al-Nassr Club is facing a financial crisis that has led to the suspension of a number of administrative and technical files during the current period, according to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya.

The report clarified that the crisis extended to the salaries file, as a number of the team's players received an incomplete June salary, while the management is working to complete the remaining amounts in the coming period.

The report added that the weakness in financial liquidity also halted the file of signing a foreign player to compensate for the departure of Croatian Marcelo Brozović.

As the management has not entered into any official negotiations with an alternative for him so far, pending clarification of the financial situation, according to the report.

Al-Nassr had announced last Monday the end of Brozović's stint with the team after the expiration of his contract, making the midfield position one of the most prominent files the technical staff seeks to bolster before the start of the season.

The team kicks off the new season under the leadership of Australian Ange Postecoglou, the new coach, who aims to continue the team's successes after clinching the Saudi League title last season.

The Yellows await four commitments represented by the Saudi League, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League Elite.
