Barcelona club has come close to definitively finalizing the deal for João Cancelo, the Saudi Al Hilal full-back.

According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona hopes to conclude the deal in the coming days, with a contract extending for two seasons, so that the player joins the team's training as soon as possible.
The report clarified that the deal will cost Barcelona's treasury about 10 million euros and has become imminent to completion, as the Saudi Al Hilal team does not include Cancelo in its plans for the next season.
The report revealed that Barcelona reached an agreement with Cancelo regarding his salary since the end of the last season, but some tax details delayed the completion of the deal.
Barcelona coach Hans Flick sees that Cancelo represents an important addition to the team, after he presented distinguished levels during his previous loan period, thanks to his ability to play in more than one position and his offensive contributions.
Cancelo joined Barcelona on two occasions, the first in the 2023-24 season and played 42 matches, scoring 4 goals and assisting 5 others.
And the second time in January of the concluded season and played 23 matches, scoring two goals and assisting 4 others.
And he achieved the Spanish League with Barcelona on one occasion.
