Shoubir reveals how he played the role of translator at Al Ahly for 6 years?

Mustafa Shobier, the goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team, drew attention to himself during the World Cup through his mastery of the English language during the press interviews he conducted on the sidelines of the matches.

Shobier - 26 years old - showed an excellent performance during the World Cup by leading Egypt to the round of 16, in addition to saving two penalty kicks against Iran and then Argentina.

Shobier said in his statements to the "MBC Egypt" satellite channel: "I love the Spanish language in general, and when a Spanish coach came, I started talking to him and learning more, and when Marcel Koller came, I wasn't speaking German but I quickly learned some words from him".

He added: "I am currently learning the Spanish language".

As for using him in translation tasks, he said: "All the time he sits next to Aliou Dieng and any other foreigner, and for 5 or 6 years my role in the lecture was translating for the foreign players".

He continued: "Koller was speaking German and the translation in Arabic and my role is to translate for the players into English as well as in the players' sessions".

As for the degree of his mastery of the Spanish language, he said: "What I understand in Spanish are some simple basics like numbers, I can tease Haitham Hassan with some words about football only".
