Mostafa Shobeir, Al-Ahly's goalkeeper, expressed his happiness at receiving the fans' welcome during the Smouha match in the league.

Al-Ahly achieved a dramatic 1-0 victory over Smouha in the third round of the league competition, held on Thursday evening at Cairo Stadium.
Al-Ahly officially renewed Shobeir's contract until 2029.
Shobeir said in statements to OnSport after the Smouha match: "Praise be to God for renewing my contract at my home... I thank the fans for this wonderful reception today... I am one of the club's sons and I appreciate their support."
He added, "I am not very active on social media, and there was a misunderstanding; I clarified the details of what happened at the appropriate time."
Regarding professional offers, he responded, "Any offers will come only after the club's approval, and I accepted Al-Ahly's rejection of external offers."
He concluded, "There was a Saudi offer at the beginning of last season, and I also understood Al-Ahly's rejection of it; I am at the club's disposal."
And FilGoal.com has learned that Mostafa Shobeir receives an annual salary of 25 million Egyptian pounds.
In addition to incentives worth 10 million Egyptian pounds linked to winning trophies with Al-Ahly.
Furthermore, for any advertisement brought by the goalkeeper to Al-Ahly, he receives 70% of its financial value while the club receives 30%, provided it does not conflict with the club's sponsors.
Thus, Shobeir becomes the fourth player to renew his contract with Al-Ahly recently, following Imam Ashour, Marwan Atia, and Omar Sayed Moawad.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has played 72 matches wearing Al-Ahly's jersey, keeping clean sheets in 39 games and conceding 46 goals.
Shobeir led the Egypt national team to qualify for the Round of 16 in the World Cup, exiting the tournament at the hands of Argentina after a 3-2 defeat.
Shobeir displayed a good level, saving two penalties: one taken by Iran's Mehdi Taremi in the group stage, and another by Argentina's star Lionel Messi in the Round of 16 match.
