Saudi reports revealed that one of the largest clubs in the Saudi Professional League has begun moves to sign Imam Ashour, star of the first football team at Al Ahly Club and the Egyptian national team.
Imam Ashour is linked to a contract with Al Ahly that extends until the summer of 2028, after joining the ranks of the Red Castle coming from Danish Midtjylland in the 2023 season.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Wiam", Al-Ittihad Club has begun its official move to sign Imam Ashour following the financial recovery of the club's treasury.

The newspaper added that Al Ahly is awaiting an official offer in the coming hours to sign Imam Ashour for the Saudi Al-Ittihad team.
It is worth noting that previous Saudi reports had indicated that Al-Ittihad had previously offered Al Ahly $6 million for Imam Ashour's transfer, with the player to receive an annual salary estimated at around $4 million.
It is mentioned that Imam Ashour has become the focus of many clubs, especially after his brilliance with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup, which was held in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico, with the Pharaohs reaching the round of 16 for the first time in their history.
