Egyptian crew to officiate Al-Ahli Saudi vs Auckland match

The Egyptian Football Association announced today, Monday, the appointment of an Egyptian refereeing crew, led by Amin Omar, to manage the match between Saudi Al-Ahli and New Zealand's Auckland City, within the competitions of the Intercontinental Cup.

The match between the champions of Asia and Oceania is scheduled to be held at "Al-Inma" Stadium in the Saudi city of Jeddah, on August 26 next.

The Egyptian Football Association published, via its official page on "Facebook", a statement announcing the appointment of Amin Omar and an Egyptian refereeing crew to manage the confrontation between Al-Ahli and Auckland City.

The Egyptian crew includes international referee Amin Omar as the field referee, assisted by assistant referees Mahmoud Abu Al-Rijal and Ahmed Hossam Taha, while Mahmoud Naji assumes the role of the fourth referee, and Mahmoud Ashour leads the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, assisted by Tarek Magdy as a video assistant referee.

The selection of Amin Omar to manage the match between Al-Ahli and Auckland City comes after his recent appearance in the 2026 World Cup, which was held in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.
