Saudi club Al-Ahli suffered a defensive blow with the absence of Brazilian international defender Roger Ibanez in their upcoming match against Al-Fateh, as part of the eighth round of the Saudi Roshn League.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadhia" reported that Ibanez is suffering from a leg injury and is undergoing an intensive treatment program, while the technical staff seeks to prepare him for the match against Al-Wasl (UAE), within the framework of the second round of the AFC Champions League Elite.

The match between Al-Ahli and Al-Wasl is scheduled to take place on October 12 in Dubai, followed by the Clásico against Al-Nassr on October 15, as part of the ninth round of the Saudi Roshn League competitions.

Ibanez had missed his team's match against Jeddah last Thursday, which was won by the Jeddah side seven goals to one, as part of "Al-Raqi"'s preparations for resuming matches, whether locally or continentally.

Al-Ahli is missing five international players due to their participation in the Gulf Cup 27: Rayan Hamed, Zakaria Hawsawi, Ziad Al-Juhani, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, and Firas Al-Buraikan.

A number of international elements are also absent due to their presence with national teams: Turkish Merih Demiral, Armenian Eduard Spertsyan, French Valentin Atangana, and Portuguese Francisco Trincao.

It is worth noting that Al-Ahli ranks sixth in the Saudi Roshn League, with 12 points.
