The German Thomas Leitsch, coach of the Saudi Al-Shabab team, acknowledged the difficulty of the task after his official appointment.
Leitsch signed a contract with the capital club that extends until 2027.
However, he stressed that he will fight to achieve the goal that everyone aspires to, according to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya.
Al-Shabab contracted with Leitsch after the team spent the past season under the leadership of two coaches, the first being the Spanish Imanol Alguacil, and the second the Algerian Nourredine Zekri.
The German Leitsch directed a message to Al-Shabab fans via a video broadcast by the club on its official account on the X platform after the contract signing ceremony, in which he said: "A new mission with a big club, I am well aware that this path will not be easy, but we will embark on it together and we will fight for one goal only".

Leitsch added, "I accepted this challenge, and I am well aware of the size of the responsibility, and I am determined to work to achieve what befits Al-Shabab's history and status, but our success will not be complete without you and your support for your club, your team, your players, and your coach".
The German coach concluded: "Hand in hand and with one man's heart.. Yalla Shabab".
