According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh, Moussa Diaby is awaiting travel to Germany to complete his transfer to Bayer Leverkusen after the deal with Al-Ittihad was finalized for 30 million euros.
The same newspaper clarified that Al-Ittihad will replace Diaby's departure by signing a new foreign winger before the summer transfer window closes.
The summer transfer window in the Saudi league runs until September 6 next.
Al-Ittihad signed Diaby from English club Aston Villa in the summer of 2024.
Diaby succeeded in winning the Saudi League and Cup titles in the season before last.
Diaby scored 11 goals and provided 29 assists in various competitions with Al-Ittihad.
Diaby began his career with Paris Saint-Germain and moved to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2019.
Diaby moved from Leverkusen to Aston Villa in the summer of 2023 for 15 million euros.
