Saudi Al-Ittihad Club aims to conclude an offensive deal in the current summer transfer window, as Saudi international Khaled Al-Ghannam, winger of Al-Ettifaq team, has returned among the targets of "Al-Ameed".
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiya", Al-Ittihad Club has returned to negotiate again with Al-Ettifaq officials, in hopes of reaching an agreement that transfers the player to Jeddah.
Al-Ittihad Club was close to securing the services of Khaled Al-Ghannam in the past period, but German coach Jens Fising requested to postpone completing the deal.
The German coach's request came during the team's training camp in Spain, in order to get time to determine the team's needs definitively.
The 25-year-old has entered the targets of Al-Qadsiah Club, according to Saudi press reports, as Al-Ettifaq management does not mind selling the player this summer to benefit financially.
The Saudi international winger has gone through several local experiences, such as Al-Qadsiah, Al-Nassr, Al-Fateh, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ettifaq.
Al-Ittihad Club seeks to build a team capable of competing in the new season, after a disappointing season in which the team exited without winning any title, whether local or continental.
Al-Ittihad management has signed Deon Lope, coming from Almeria for 13 million euros, in addition to activating the purchase clause for the defensive duo Jan Carlo Simic from Anderlecht for 15 million euros, and Stevan Kiler from AEK Larnaca for one million euros.
On the local signings level, Rakan Al-Kaabi was signed, coming from Al-Fayha on a free transfer, and Faris Abdi from Neom.
Al-Ittihad team awaits an important match on Tuesday evening against Al-Jazira of the Emirates, in the playoff round of the AFC Champions League Elite competition.
