Salah wrote on his account on the "X" platform: "I know you're still upset, but a promise from me that I will do everything in my power to ensure that this is a new beginning for Egyptian football on the international stage".
Salah added in his message to the fans: "Qualifying for the World Cup will not be enough, and participation will not be enough either, this team deserves your trust".

The Egyptian national team participated in the 2026 World Cup, whose events were held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, where it was in Group Seven alongside Belgium, Iran and New Zealand.
The Egyptian national team opened its World Cup journey with a goalless draw against Belgium, then won against New Zealand three goals to one, and drew goalless with Iran, and in the round of 32 it overcame the obstacle of Australia by winning on penalties (4-2).

Yalla Kora correspondent monitored the arrival of thousands of fans since the early morning, towards Alamein Airport, awaiting the arrival of the Pharaohs' mission.
An open bus was allocated to receive the Egyptian national team mission, as it was decided to move in order to interact with the fans who arrived in large numbers.
